Kicks

Spring Kick

  • Body straight
  • Hands on hips
  • Elbows back
  • Standing Leg Straight
  • Raise knee, then flick foot with toes pointed
  • Hold leg in horizontal position, then lower to floor in a controlled action

Spring Kick with Punch

  • Body straight
  • Start with left fist extented in punching position, right fist back by side
  • Take a small step with right foot
  • Spring Kick with left leg
  • At the same time punch with a right fist, pulling left fist back to your side
  • Leave fist extended as kicking leg is brought down to the ground
  • Step forward with left leg to complete a second Spring Kick with Punch on the oppostie side

Heel Kick

  • Body straight
  • Hands on hips
  • Elbows back
  • Standing Leg Straight
  • Raise knee, then kick heel forwards with toes bent back
  • Hold leg in horizontal position, then lower to floor in a controlled action (toes can point on the way down)

Heel Kick with Punch

  • Body straight
  • Start with left palm extented in striking position, right palm back by side
  • Take a small step with right foot
  • Heel Kick with left leg
  • At the same time strike with a right palm, pulling left palm back to your side
  • Leave palm extended as kicking leg is brought down to the ground
  • Step forward with left leg to complete a second Heel Kick with Palm on the oppostie side
