Actually, I just tested it out. Was pretty instant. Perhaps our new member Rage just got unlucky.

My friend also has the same issue.. it seems intermittent. The worse problem is that you can't re-send the confirm email, but you can't sign up again with the same email account. Double sadness!

eh? I got the confirmation email just fine too. maybe it's because the site immediately asks you for your login details and actually seems to bypass the activation linkthingo - or maybe your inbox is an endless void within which NOTHING EVER LEAVES and poor little activation emails get lost/turned into black holes/straight to junk folder?

It took my trying with five different emails (none of which were full or anything) to actually be sent a confirmation email. It was rather annoying.

Yar - sorry to all about this issue. Had a chat with Pat about it - we're gonna turn off the confirmation emails, so you can log in without needing to click on a confirmation email (which obviously isn't working that well). So hopefully, no more problems. :)
