which one should i get??? just thought i'd throw this question out to my fellow wushu-ers. i've already consulted alx and brendn about this - they're both PSPers and managed to sway me quite quickly but i want more opinions!! DS has the touch screen so you can play cute, quick games which i like.. but also it's just novelty and i don't think it offers much else other than a bit more protection sans case than the PSP but the PSP can do a whole lot more than the DS and looks sweeeeet... so if you own one, tell me why you like it!!

I don't own a PSP, but I think you've answered your own question there. Plus...PSP has wireless connections too. I believe you can check your emails on your PSP and surf websites too. My friend has a PSP - he often logs on to free or unprotected wireless networks and uses the internet too. So not only are you getting a game system, you're getting a mini wireless laptop. =)

i think you should jsut look at the games available for each console and make a decision based on which games interest you the most. my sister has a ds and to me the ds seemed like a mere novelty but i was surprised as to how fun it was. and its supposed to have internet connectivity too just like the psp.
in my opinion, browsing the internet on a small console is pointless but whatever floats your boat i guess haha

Arhh the debate continues. Well i own a psp, and i've played a DS. I like them both, so get both. I the only reason i like DS is cause it's got Mario, and thats about it, oh oh and Kirby. Thats it i think, plus u can get it haxed easily so u dont have to buy games. PSP, is wat scott says mini laptop, i've used it to surf the net a few times fun i have to say. The greatest set back to it is u must update ur firmware verison to obtain the higher function quality. I think theres ways around it but i'm not going to do it caues u can brick ur psp. BUT the psp has good games. MGS portiable OPs Thats one i'm waiting to get. When you compare the quality of game play from DS to PSP, It depends on wat type of games u are into. PSP, does a have good collection of simple and fun games, none which i own, But psp also has it super complex and diffcult to play games which dont suit a hand held console, whilst the DS is known for its simple to play games, it does have some challenging games out there such as the FF remakes. If ur more into like Street Fighter style games, psp provides better quality play, cause the DS trys to make use of the touch screen to excute super combos, which proves to be some trouble when ur in the middle of mawling buttons. DS also has it's great touch screen which lets u play some Pet games, which i love. lol. You have like this little dog and u take care of it i think. Getting off the games, i think both the DS and psp, can be used as a mp3 with a memory expansion (Memory Card up to 4gb now), PSP having it's larger screen comes to advantages, when watching movies with subs. But the relative large size is annoying sometimes. And to scottys question, my thumbs don't get sore when i play my psp, i play fifa 06 for hrs lol, no problems here. Overall i'd give both the DS and PSP a rateing of 8/10, they both have there good and bad side, it just depends which u prefer. I got psp cause i'm a sony perosn. All my stuff is sony. LOL i've got PSX PS2 PSP, Song headphones, Song stero system the list continues rofl. BTW i didnt read wat i wrote so correct where i'm wrong or sound weird ROFL _________________________________________________ " Lifes's Battles Dont Always Go To The Stronger Or Faster Man, But Sooner Or Later The Man Who Wins Is The One Who Thinks He Can.
